Part of me wonders if the lack of a true ball handler on that team (lost James Robinson to gradation) was *that* big of a deal. However, I always keep coming back to Stallings and his ineptitude.

The fact that Stallings couldn't bring in a PG from somewhere was malpractice. Kithcart was Dixon's recruit and literally a mediocre D2 player (based on his stats after transferring) but Stallings decided he didnt need anyone else and that doomed the season.

Stallings was gifted with a 1st class ticket on the “Gravy Train” by his good chum, carpet-bagger Scott Barnes.

It was for 1 way travel all the way to retirement. His luggage was filled with loot. KS relaxed and snoozed until the ride was over. Quite a send off knowing he got a fantastic windfall gift to keep him in luxury through his golden years.

Unfortunately, Pitt was the punch line for this joke of a deal. It’s been a real struggle for the program to try to extricate itself from the bottom of the hole they were left in. But maybe this year’s group will be the one to start the climb back up? Really pulling for them.

Wrong…..Barnes decided he didn’t need anyone else and hired Stallings. That didn’t doom the season, it doomed the program.
