End of game situations?

Hard to say. End of game scenarios like the last 2 are different than typical plays. Because they involve SITUATIONAL rebounding. Both Minny and UVA, because of the score and time left, were able to send EVERY player crashing to the glass. They didn‘t have to concern themselves with a counter attack fast break and have anyone stay back. It was do or die: if they missed they HAD to get the OR.

So when ALL 5 are involved in an off. rebounding effort like that, Pitt had to just do everything possible to block out, establish inside position and secure the ball. Pitt wasn’t able to do it in either case the last 2 games. So it would’ve depended on if the ball came off anywhere near Olidapo as to if he could’ve helped.

Think that’s why VA went with the 3 on the inbounds just knowing they had a good chance to grab a bricked shot. This after having success with inbounding plays.
