Would you be happy with Dixon’s TCU results from Pitt?

There's nothing wrong with wishing we had a previous coach at Pitt. We all want the best for Pitt. I don't think we have it now.

Considering where the programs at right now you bet ya , but if Jamie was still here doing that we’d have those fire JD guys yelling , first he couldn’t win in March and now they only get in the tournament once every three yrs we can do better .

I’d be having a hell of a lot more fun right now, that’s for sure.

Dixon is 38-57 in conference play at TCU and has yet to win a NCAA Tourney game.

Why would anybody be happy with that? It's better than where Pitt is today, but it's still mediocre/bad basketball and an irrelevant program.

I like Pitt's chances of finishing below .500 in ACC play this year and not winning a tourney game. I really think they can pull it off.

I’d be overjoyed about it this year, not so much the other five. I see this season as somewhat of an outlier for TCU, and it’s one Dixon needed as well to solidify his hold on the job.

I’d be happy with 2 ncaa tournaments in 5 eligible years and an NIT title. Yes.

There is a lot of basketball left to be played, this season and I don't think they are a lock to get in. They aren't very good.

If they do get in, they will be a low seed and most likely be gone the first weekend.
They’re 15-4, just beat a ranked LSU team and a team on the road they’ve NEVER beaten in Oklahoma. They’re not 1-14 on the road V Oklahoma. Saint Jamie is doing an insane job. And everyone will be back next year.

Package Deal Jamie learned a thing or 2. 1 assistant has to be a package deal guy.

Compared to what we have now and for the last 6 years, I'd be thrilled with these results.

If you've been following Pitt hoops for any length of time like I have since the late 60's, you know these results at TCU would be very acceptable at Pitt right now. Especially if we had a coach who could recruit, which we don't right now. Recruiting is the lifeblood of the college game. And results are the outcome.

If Miller’s top 25 brother goes to college, it will also be at TCU. They should be LOADED next year.

That's how you play the game. Congrats to Jamie. I'm hoping Capel, knowing he has 1 year left, hires a package deal assistant. But honestly, I don't think he minds getting fired and collecting Heather's cash prize.

Not impressed.

OU is 3-6 in Big 12 play and 13-9 overall.

LSU is overrated. Offensively, they are atrocious and unless they are playing at home, where they can sometimes turn the game into a brawl, they are pretty much useless. Absolutely terrible on the road. In fact, I think LSU dropped a home game last night to Ole Miss. They have lost 5 of their last 6 games

People need to realize this is the general attitude of Pitt fans. Plenty of Pitt fans would rather the team be terrible than be 30-60th in the nation.

In Dixon's last season here in 2016, there were fans arguing all season long that "this isn't a tournament team" and "we don't deserve a bid" and losing in the first round was "rock bottom." People don't want to watch wins. They want to call the team bad and say, "I told you so."

I remember all these posts on different social media outlets, that literally would state pitt could not get worse. I remember that moron zeise on his radio show constantly complaining about Dixon and saying Pitt could lure brad Stevens.

Putting it in perspective, no I wouldn’t be happy with that record, though this year looks like a turn around year. If I was a TCU fan though, given how traditionally bad that program is, I’d be thrilled with the results.

Yup. Some extremely unrealistic expectations from Pitt fans and you are absolutely right they'd rather see the team be terrible than average.

I know I would sure as sh*t rather be 30th-60th in the nation than where we are now. That was what I was saying throughout those "terrible" last four years, and many really argued with me about it -- tagging those like me as JIGer's of course.

Jackal cackle. We're now the league level of Vanderbilt FB. Dixon's "not very good" kids would beat us by 20.

When you don't have a bigger picture perspective, are myopic, and only look at maybe the last 20 years of Pitt basketball, you think what Dixon is doing at TCU isn't good enough. But if you have a bigger picture in your mind and know what college basketball is like now, you know a result like Jamie is getting at TCU would be very acceptable here. And it would be.

I'd much prefer an NIT bid and an NCAAT bid every once in a while and rankings in the 50's or 60's to what we have had the last 6 years.
