I know he was a supposed lean, but so was Gone-ovan Jeter. Chose Pitt over Alabama, Michigan, Michigan St, pennst, Nebraska, Tennessee... just a huge get. Now we have Clark and Reeves for next year, and the local TEs can learn and play after Clark is gone.

They say he is a really good basketball player too by the way.

Good pickup I think at least one of the other guys listed at TE gets moved to another spot. Expect clark to start but could see Reeves getting playing time even as a FR. Pitt will also use more than one TE so if they have multiple good ones they will play.

Clark and Reeves will be a nice duo.

Hmmmmm... Another non-local kid with scholarship offers from schools that have a "big stage" and have packed houses; PSU, Michigan, Wisconsin, Michigan State and Nebraska, but he chose Pitt?

I guess he sees the value of going to Pitt whereas the local kids do not... Maybe Harbaugh should have given him a ride in his van at midnight as well???

Or maybe Reeves wants to get a good education, play sooner than later, have a shot at the NFL and play close to home.... Interesting...

The tandem of Reeves and Clark, who can both run really well after the catch and block equally well, is going to be incredible to watch. What a luxury for next year's QB to have those two potential weapons, along with a budding group of young receivers.

2 elite TE's, along with an emerging group of Weah, Henderson, Tipton, Ffrench, Flowers, Mathews = a lot of great individual skills to mix and match to find ways to exploit any type of D .... all assuming MacVittie can be anywhere near as accurate in college as his efficiency in HS showed he possibly could be.

Moss is a Fr, and we are bringing in Sibley. Pickett looks like a good recruit at QB. Add in some good OL recruits that we have coming, and we are in very good shape moving forward.

Looking very promising for Pitt!

I love the 2 TE approach like the Patriots. You can exploit a lot of mismatches.

I consider Reeves a local recruit. Steubenville is closer to Pittsburgh than it is Columbus - only about a 45 minute drive from downtown.

OSU is recruiting at such a high level nationally, it's been nice for us as we've been able to snag a couple highly rated guys from OH that weren't a take for the bucks.

I have relatives who live near Reeves' HS and they say that Pitt is getting a good one. If Clark can play to the level that he was projected, TE looks to be solid for several years.

So, Pitt, WVU, and Penn State Programs not far that apart on Recruiting Rankings
30 MSU
31 PSU (4TH IN B10, 4TH IN BIG TEN EAST )
32 IOWA
40 WVU (4TH IN BIG-12)
41 VT
42 PITT (5TH IN ACC, 3RD ACC COASTAL)

Steubenville High School is 40 miles from campus.

Urban going more national definitely gives Pitt a chance with higher end Ohio players than in the past IMHO......much better than when Brian "OhioMania" Deal was here:cool:

5 bucks to the person who can identify the poster who coined this term...
