Sorry guys, I have been mainly on the Scout board, so I am late to this discussion. I am hearing, and believe, that Brands and Strittmatter aren't interested. What about Cary Kolat? I don't know if he would be interested in a city school, but he seems to check all of the boxes, and we have to be able to offer more than Campbell.

And if the admin wants to go big, I would make a pledge. Probably not enough to move the needle, but there is strength in numbers, right?

It's a really long list so who knows how it'll turn out. Interviews are set for right after nationals & everything is supposed to be wrapped up by the end of the month.

I think Pat Santoro would be interested. He's kept Lehigh in the top 10 with partial scholarships and tough entrance requirements. His guys love him and he would be a dangerous recruiter at Pitt

I'll say this, I'm much more optimistic than I was before

Who would excite me from that list? Pritzlaff and Hahn. Obviously, Brands, Kolat, and Santoro are the names that would make an instant splash, and I would love to see any one of them end up at Pitt. Those names would excite even the casual wrestling fan, but I think that landing one of them would take more of a commitment than Pitt is willing to make.

Kolat is at Campbell. They just won their first ever SoCon championship. He was previously an assistant at North Carolina.
