Pretty nice stuff out there. And we're not even talking Penn State, Ohio State, the Oklahoma State, or Iowa. Draw your own conclusions.

Iowa State, Arizona State, and Virginia Tech have shown that they are serious about competing. On a tangent, what Tim Flynn has done at Edinboro is remarkable.

Please notice that my post is meant to provide information, not opinion about where Pitt is currently.

Pitt Boosters complain a lot and donate little. That is why good coaches do not want this job.

Wrestlers will practice in a rat-infested barn, provided that they have a coach whom they respect. While facilities have some importance, it's the coach who is the main magnet for recruiting great high school wrestlers.

Agreed. I donate every month

It's the coach and who their workout partners will be

Agreed. In fact, a terrific hs coach in my area converted a barn into a practice facility and runs a club that draws tons of good kids from the region. If the coach has cred and puts in work, the kids will come.

The Michigan facilities are pretty freakin amazing. UM alum donate a great deal to athletics. But do they allow earmarked donations strictly for a specific sport?

It's not rocket surgery...if you donate $1,000 to the athletic department and tell Them that it's for wrestling, that $1,000 will probably go to,wrestling. And then wrestling will get $1,000 less out of the general athletic fund - or whatever their share is. If you want money to go strictly to Pitt wrestling,,then give it to the Pitt Wrestling Club. If you want to help Pitt wrestling, donate to the Club.

It looks like Michigan's room does not have not have mats on the walls. I wonder why.
