There's the Xavier we know! To be fair, 4 other players were suspended including Parker Stewart and they cost their team in a terrible loss to NW and possibly an NCAAT bid as they have some tough games coming up. The kid is a senior now and still can't stay out of trouble.

This is a really good article on him from late January. Its mostly positive but addresses his turnovers and foul trouble and when he can avoid those things, can be a really good player. I am not sure I can ever remember a PG get in as much foul trouble as he did. He rarely played the last 15 minutes of a half for us because he'd always commit a reach-in foul and offensive foul in the first 5 minutes.

In the games I've seen, it's the same Xavier. If it's a close game, he will find ways to turn it over or will take bad shots. When he plays under control, he can be a good player. When things get close near the end of the game, that goes out the window. It's likely never going to change, as he's played 4 years in college for 2 coaches with similar results.

His numbers are basically the same. Slight improvement but he's on a much better team. He is what he is.

He had a 3 game stretch when this article was written where he played pretty well for the only time all season. Funny timing for that article becauae he has laid 2 eggs since and now he's suspended.

I believe--actually I know for a certainty--that you were the guy who said he'd walk into the lowly B10 and just dominate the league with all of his ACC superpowers. Like he was going down a level. This was a running theme of yours for a while.

Two eggs that included 14 assists to 4 turnovers. He did shoot the ball poorly though, especially in the first of those two.

I wish one of our guards who couldn't shoot would have a 14-4 assist to turnover ratio over two games.

According to a report I read the 5 of them missed curfew in Chicago on Monday evening. They were a half hour late to the hotel. Stewart’s second suspension the first was being late coming back from Xmas break due to traffic and an accident, still got suspended. Many of their fans are being pretty critical of all of them

Fans of been critical of Johnson, even booing him during a game according to the article I linked. That never even happened at Pitt.

Parker Stewart is shooting 45% from 3? I know talent. We're going to be doing this again in 3 years when Hugley is averaging 18 for a good team.

Not hard to put up some assist numbers when you have a star big man like TJD to give the ball to, and a coach who insists that you get the ball to TJD on every possession. But in his last two games X shot 5-19 including 2-8 from 3. He went 1-8 against Maryland. He also got torched by Trent Frazier in the Illinois game, just brutalized. That said, X is a decent assist man, always has been. He's a decent player, always has been. He is an average starting point guard on a decent team in a good league. Not good enough to put a team on his back and will it to win.
