I believe in Capel! You guys can bitch and moan about all the coaches that are better and who have ressurrected programs quicker. I will stick with Capel and give him a chance to produce. He has been good early before, If I am right, this team is going to get better as the season goes and that should be pretty damn exciting!
How about road wins against:
Northwestern
Miami
Syracuse
Would have been the perfect afternoon to bail out of work an hour early and settle in somewhere downtown for happy hour. Alas! This is one of those games that would have been a blast out at a bar with a bunch of people watching.
Dang COVID.
Hail to PITT
I believe that's what Todd Blackledge said after 13-9

I am a huge Capel fan. And I think most people are. I don’t why fans let one or two people cause them so much concern.
Its like he felt he was better than pitt. Like what are they doing on same court as usThe constant smirk Buddy B. had on his face the entire game made this sooo much sweeter!
2 things.I have been critical of Capel only because I think he is capable of so much. He is not a guy you hire to achieve 5-15 seasons.

The Northwestern comeback was pretty good too.Unbelievable guts and heart and what a comeback! I am so effing proud of this team!
At this point it is getting rather impressive, and add in this Covid mess....

Definitely could.Hmmm .... I wonder if we could do it via Zoom ... LOL!
It was great, but you weren't missing your best player and 3 of your top 6 scorers. The Northwestern comeback was pretty good too.
The conference road win is the more important factorIt was great, but you weren't missing your best player and 3 of your top 6 scorers.
Is there really a huge disadvantage playing on the road right now? I guess the travel etc., but really with no fans, it's almost like both teams have to generate their own mojo. The conference road win is the more important factor

I don't know - just watching random games, I've noticed "home" teams getting down and not having the crowd to help overcome it. I think it really puts both teams on an equal playing field in that regards.Jeff Sagarin is still applying 1.99 points to the home team in his ratings. Howver, I think this has typically applied 3 points in past seasons.

I guess @SoufOaklin4Life you're right - the sight lines on home courts along with no travel, regular routines, etc., still gives the home team an advantage, just not nearly the same as with a full house though.
