The first offers me, as a season ticket holder in the upper end zone, the opportunity to be reseated to the student section for Friday's game and 50% off merchandise at the stadium. As a former employee of the team store in the Pete, this discount is MUCH better than I even received as an employee. I'm not sure what the selection will be, and I'd imagine they're doing it to try and clear out block gear in anticipation of the coming script next year.
This Friday's Pitt vs. Miami Football game is a really special opportunity for this team to earn their 9th victory. It's also our annual Senior Day and we hope you will be in attendance to salute this special group of student-athletes.

Simply use your original game tickets to enter Heinz Field on Friday, but print out and show this email to the ushers for access to any seats in Sec. 123-130 or Sec. 224-228. Seating in these sections will be general admission and based on availability.
Finally, all Pitt merchandise on Friday at Heinz Field will be 50% off. This special will not be available online or at the Team Store at the Petersen Events Center. Arrive early and take care of your holiday shopping for all your Panther fans.

I'm very pleased with the continued appreciation the athletic department has shown its loyal customers. It goes to show that they've always had good employees there (these can't all be Barnes' ideas) and that SP just handcuffed them. I've interacted with plenty of people during SP's time that seemed like his yes men but clearly the entire athletic department is a much better functioning unit now.
