Yesterday's first half may have been the most enjoyable half I have ever attended.

What made it even better was the first 10 minutes or so had all the makings that we were going to struggle all day and maybe squeak out a few field goal attempts for all of our scoring.

What even made this more enjoyable is that possibly the two worst visiting fans I have ever witnessed at Heinz field in section 109. They were a couple likely about 29 years old. The guy was a mouth tobacco chewer who repeatedly was spitting in front of me and kept blocking the view of an 8 year old resulting in the father practically begging the guy to control himself so his son could watch some of the very first Pitt game of his life. The guy was "flapping his arms" like they were wings to fire up the Cardinals. The dad behind him had to contact security and this guy just could not contain himself. Girlfriend was begging him to shut up so they wouldn't get kicked out but he kept cheering on those Cardinals. Then the floodgates opened up with 40 some points pouring in for your beloved Pitt Panthers and it was like he was injected with 5000 milligrams of shut the heck up.

We moved down a few seats to separate this family from the deranged Louisville fans and I think it may have prevented a donnybrook. This Malay would have been an epic Frakus but thankfully Pitt did their part so that Dad would not pummel this Cardinal fan in front of his wide eyed son.

Just really tense for a while but fun to watch all the energy leak out of the visiting fan.
