Yet another Nitter transferring

10 guys now that have left and that doesn't count decommits. Little Jimmy Franks must be getting an inferiority complex.

seems they are losing the guys who signed up just to run thru the tunnel. Now that the thrill of that is gone they are realizing that, yes, they'd like to play. This Kiley had 2:00 of PT his whole career

from a psu newspaper blog:
Kiley appeared in just two games during his Penn State career — getting into the Illinois and Indiana games this season — and he didn’t record a statistic. He came to Penn State as a safety and moved to receiver before his redshirt freshman season in 2013. He didn’t play much, but he was always one of those players teammates would mention when they talked about hard workers.

Honest question for you....what are you going to do when we find out some of our players are leaving in the spring? This is an ugly part of college football where kids are told to move on
So when Michigan does it they are scumbags, when psu does it its part of the college game. I get it.

Franklin is showing that he's no better than Harbaugh. These kids came to Penn St under O'Brien when no one was willing to come, and the carnival barker doesn't have the decency to encourage them to finish.

Yes, the issue isn't so much about non-key players leaving. The problems are deeper and wider.

Its the combination of coaches leaving, de-commitments, players leaving and thanking everyone but him, a player leaving and a dad calling him a liar, prior players making negative comments (like "this is why I left" in regards to a comment that favorites rather than the best players being put on the field) , strong rumors that the locker room has issues (to be clear, not the Sandusky kind), and that many players don't like him. And many articles written lately that question his job security and his coaching ability.

But usually kids are told to "move on" when the coaches need the scholarships. From the sound of things, that's not a problem at UPS. They don't need scholarships; they need quality players to fill the ones they have available now.

They've tried to "flip" practically every kid on Pitt's verbal list...how much more proof do you need?

It's funny how the sanctions are brought up whenever needed to defend, but conveniently forgotten when it doesn't fit their current argument.

Well mike.... the big difference is this: Narduzzi *HAS* to ask kids to leave, in order to free up scholarships for his burgeoning class.

In Franklin's case.... he has 23 scholarships available at the moment and only 17 commits. So he doesn't need to "encourage" players to leave to make room. They are leaving on their own, with no "push" from the coaches. Very different from the Pitt situation.

ps. You keep posting almost word for word what mikemauti42 posts on the PSU board - a board you claim you don't read. I find that very interesting.

Apparently you missed the part where I said it's an ugly part of the game.
Except Michigan, like Pitt, needs to do it to free up scholarships to fit this year's class.

PSU is 6 or 7 scholarships short of the max, and has absolutely NO need to push some kids out. These kids aren't leaving PSU because they're asked to leave - unlike Pitt and Michigan.

That's a VERY big difference.

Dude you are such a pathetic turd. You have a Pitt player's name as your profile ... You can't even change from your mauti format first name last name number.

Get a life get off our board

Come man. Franklin is heart broken he is gone. We all know it. Franklin wanted to keep a 2 star from New Hampshire with 1 other offer that being New Hampshire. He surely can't find someone to replace his production. Nitter
Why push anyone out when he only has 17 commits for 23 spots? He doesn't have to make any room.

If Franklin was pushing players out to make room for new recruits, you'd have an argument.

But players are leaving PSU without Franklin pushing them out. He has no reason to.

Harbaugh is pushing players out to make room for new ones. So is Narduzzi.

PSU has 23 slots available and only 17 commits. He is now trying to flip Temple recruits at the last minute. He's in desperation mode to fill up his class. And the only commit he's flipped is a freaking kicker from Rutgers.

He's thrashing. As are you, mike.

Actually the Nitters got three guys in that Rutgers kicker flip? The way things are going good get for Frankie Football! This will help Frankie fill up the recruiting class with Nitter material!

I don't think it's that big of a deal really. What I think should make people worry (although I find hilarious) is that guys either don't mention James from State College when giving thanks to former coaches or like mentioned above, mentioned last.

Even when Jesse James was drafted by the Steelers, he said he felt he had a lot of potential but PSU just didn't use him right. I think it's pretty clear not too many kids really like playing for this clown. He is getting some good recruits though, but if a lot of them don't back up the hype and/or be a part of some really good teams, future recruiting may even take an impact. Right now we can only hope that will be the case.

I am very happy with the Class right now brought in by Coach Pat & Staff, theer is no question they have upgraded Pitt Recruits and will turn them into more talented Players.

I am delighted that coach Pat & Staff are not giving up on Top Targets and working very hard to close out the recruiting Season.

This is just his First Year of Full Recruiting at Pitt and he has Pitt ranked in the top 5 within the ACC and possibly can get to the Top 4!

But yet we'll hear about the 100% graduation rate of the football team from them. They'll even let us know that Lamar Chisley finished his GED, er PSU world campus degree from prison.

Well. Think it is a big deal, that's 10 transfers in one year and what 3,4 coaches gone? That and he can't even bring in enough players recruiting to fill in the numbers?

Can you imagine that happening at Pitt?? Full meltdown mode would be happening now

Since their fan base is already delusional, I am sure they have a rational reason created on why this is ok.

has anyone ever pointed out that PSU had a player named Jesse James? I guess Al Capone didn't have any eligibility left

Hmmm.... dionlewis28/mikemauti42 deleted all his posts in this thread. Very interesting.

Very interesting. haha. Actually, I just spent exactly 7 minutes on BWI, searched for mikemauti42. I have to say, and not that I have some professional experience in it, the writing style is also very similar. So, not only is the name in the same format, much of the writing is as well. I don't know about word for word, but...maybe you should copy/paste? Hahaha

They already had "Son of Sam" a few years ago.

Kiley spent 4 years on scholarship and will graduate. He has played in 2 games in his career and there's no reason to believe he would see anymore time than that next season. Is he leaving because he hates Franklin? Because he was pushed out? Because he wants to go to a school where he will actually see the field? Who knows, but he got a free education and Penn State honored his 4 year scholarship.

So far there is only one transfer that will really impact PSU in the future and that is the LB Reeder who transferred to Delaware. He was a freshman that was going to provide depth in 2016 and compete for a starting spot in 2017. The de-commits are a different story.

Education, recruits in most cases and at most schools arrive on campus to major in college football, at ups they have a choice, planting Kentucky 31 grass, making ice cream and/or Parks and Recreation.

With the number of kids leaving + an apparent lack of recruits they are going to have a hard time in practice. Unless of course he fills out the class with MAC recruits for practice bait. He's really showing he has no strategy for recruiting and I've been following him since his Maryland days and I've always thought he's an overrated coach.

I still maintain that we don't actively recruit the same type of kid because of the difference in conferences and location (urban vs rural). I don't even follow how well we're doing vs UPS. I'm concerned with how we stack up to Clemson, FSU, U of L, Miami, VT and UNC. And I think we're starting to make inroads against those teams. We need more speed and athletes and we're starting to get those types of kids at the right positions.

9/10/16 should be fun and I think it'll lay the foundation for a surprisingly good season too.
