Read Zeise's blog on the game last night and everything he wrote was true.
But it seemed odd to me there was no mention of the aspect of the game that really killed the Panthers and allowed NCSt to amass such a lead.
It was the outright inability to make shots. The stretch early in the first half when Pitt missed 12 strait shots allowed the Pack to get off and running and the shooting the rest of the half wasn't much better. They missed from 3. They missed mid range jumpers. They missed at the rim. They missed put backs. It was God awful. I don't know the exact numbers on first half shooting but the Pack had enough empty trips to allow Pitt to stay in the game if their shooting was anywhere near average.
