A quote from the BWI board:

“Success with honor. Who knows if he will bring us the success we want but the honor he brings us is priceless.”

Myths die hard in State College.
Too bad for the true believers that headlines don’t go away either. You can’t bury the recent past.

Are we talking about the James Franklin whose players were involved in a Rape Scandal at Vandy? The same guy who had special female escorts at Vandy do what needed to be done to land recruits? The same guy that posts half man, half lion pictures of himself? I guess this is the school that places 409 above 911.

Yup, That same James Franklin. Actually that post on the BWI board was because he
raced after a player who refused to shake Mich. St players' hands after the loss. If
that's what it takes to define "success with honor" they are more delusional than one
can imagine.

Sick cult members.

The Honorable Jame$ Franklin who come$ into a program known for it$ iconic pedophilia defen$ive coordinator, an infamou$ cover-up, and convict$ who actually ran the univer$ity, is up$et because a player tried to leave the field after a la$t second lo$$. Hi$ motive clearly wa$ to change the focu$ of the po$t-game di$cu$$ion from poor preparation to the cult language, a-fore mentioned "Success with Honor" theme , what a fraud.

I guess typing those words might help ease the pain for the moment. But deep down they are broken. Because deep down all that matters is football.

The same coach who cried about our defense clapping last year? And the one who iced the Georgia State kicker this year? Yes, all honor and class. LMAO!

You know as much as i dislike the guy, I find it respectable he yelled at his player for trying to run off the field without shaking hands.

Anyway with that said, i decided to read a little of their board last night after their loss and it was hilarious. Just confirms how full of themselves those guys are.

One thread: “Why does every team treat the game against us like their super bowl?” A response: “Because regardless of what anyone says, we are big time. We are one of the best programs of all time. That is why.”

Exactly. It had nothing to do with Michigan state needing a win to stay in the driver's seat and in control of their own destiny, setting up another huge game against Ohio state next week. It wasn't about that at all, and it certainly had nothing to do with the joy of winning a football game after you sat in the locker room for a near 3 1/2 hour delay. They were just excited because they beat "mighty" penn state, one of the greatest ever, something unheard of for a program at akron's level.

With PSU’s run these past 2 years and MSU’s 3-9 year last year, people seemed to forget about Michigan State. Dantonio teams actually show up against tough competition... can’t count him out. Next beat coach in the conference after Urban, no doubt about that.

Or winning on the last play of the game should just warrant a ho hum response, regardless who the opponent is?! Narcissists think everything is always about them.

It's nice that they have a team rule about shaking hands. Always make sure it's televised.
When some of your players decide to disobey this rule, does it say anything about the coaches control over the team. Franklin should have been pissed because his players were disrespecting him by disobeying his dictates. They should be punished (not publicly)
Perhaps, some of the players will decide to go to the concession stand for a beer after an interception next week with Milk Dud chasing after them.

My, they are so classy and honorable. It must be true, since they endlessly repeat that hollow mantra.

It's still slightly early in his Michigan career, but personally I think jim harbaugh is insanely overrated. James Franklin obviously too if you just put his contract up against others making the big bucks. For my money I would 100% take dantonio after Meyer as well.
