Pitt's Rachel Fairbanks and Olivia Babcock received setter of the week and freshman of the week honors respectively.....well deserved ladies!

ACC Unveils Volleyball Players of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Georgia Tech's Bianca Bertolino and Paola Pimentel earned Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, while Pitt's Rachel Fairbanks and Olivia Babcock were selected as Setter and Freshman of the Week, respectively.

Babcock should be approaching a lock for ROY. She is #1 in points/set in ACC play, not for freshmen, but all players. It is actually kind of remarkable she hasn't ever gotten ACC Offensive POW.

Yep....got it.....but no such award in NCAA volleyball.....Freshman of the Year looks good for Babcock though

Slight edge to Babcock over Stafford as FOY in the ACC right now. Also remarkable is the fact that both should make the all ACC freshman team. We are really fortunate to have both.....credit to Dan Fisher for that....lots of excellent volleyball to watch in the coming years for Pitt fans.
