I know - they had an easy schedule and only beat 2 FBS programs over .500… a 7-6 Texas Tech and a 8-5 UNC that did their typical collapse and just mailed it in. But we know our issues, and lost to a fair share of other bad teams this past year. Plus as of now at least, they supposedly return a good bit next season.
I just can’t help but be frustrated given the position both programs were going into the renewed rivalry. Us riding high off our best season in 40 years and general consistency under Duzz. Them down bad with a coach that was essentially on the hot seat until this year. We should have had momentum, they should have been spiraling down.
But suddenly, here we are. 3-9 vs. 9-4. Not to mention their NIL program seems to have more support.
Can anyone give me some hope here? Hell, it can be just that WVU really isn’t on an upward swing as opposed to any proclamation towards Pitt.
