Right now, a realistic goal is winning the ACC Regular Season title. That's what Pitt fans should be rooting for. After that, we want results that might help Pitt in the computer rankings. So here's your rooting guide for Saturday.

1. Virginia at Virginia Tech

- VT is 3-8 in the conference and their only hope at an NCAA bid is to win at least 8 of their final 9 games. A win against #6-ranked Virginia would be a big boost. But Pitt doesn't need to worry about VT - they won't steal a bid from Pitt if they get on some kind of run. We want the Hokies to win this game to drop UVa behind Pitt in the standings (we have the tie-breaker).

2. Wake Forest at Notre Dame

- Wake Forest is not in any way a danger to Pitt winning the ACC or getting an NCAA tournament bid. We want them to win games so that our win against them looks better in the analytics. Go Deacons!

3. Georgia Tech at NC State

- Pitt effectively has a 2-game lead on NC State because of the head-to-head win. We don't want any of our Q1/Q2 wins to get devalued, so we want NC State to win this game.

4. Florida State at Louisville

- Quite simply, we want FSU to win this game. And every game they have left except against Pitt. We need to hope that FSU can somehow pull themselves up enough that our loss to them at home becomes a Q3 loss instead of the Q4 loss it currently is.

5. Miami at Clemson

- We are effectively 2 games behind Clemson because of the tie-breaker due to our loss to them. So they need to lose 2 more games than Pitt loses the rest of the way. This is a good chance for one of those. We want a Hurricane win here.

6. Syracuse at Boston College

- Boeheim will always be the darling of the selection committee if his teams gets hot late in the year. But they are in no danger of taking a bid from Pitt, and since we play them twice we want our win (or wins) over them to have more value. So we want the Orange to win this game.

7. UNC at Duke

- Quite simply, we want UNC to win every game they play the rest of the year, as long as they don't win enough to pass us in the standings. Our two wins against them gain greater value if the Tarheels defeat Duke at Duke. Also, Duke has the tie-breaker with Pitt... effectively putting the Blue Devils just 1 game behind Pitt. We need Duke to lose a couple games down the stretch... at least as many as we lose.
