I’m sure many are “realignmented” out…. But, here’s a YouTuber that is verbalizing an interesting twist… The B1G would offer a full share to FSU and Clemson even with the GOR allowing the ACC to get any media revenue generated from athletic events on campus through summer 2036 even if those are B1G games played in Tallahassee or Clemson.

Perhaps Fox is willing to incur these costs (~$400M per school through 2036) as the CFB Playoff could pay $100M per game.

So, will FSU / Clemson jump at this deal? Remains to be seen. But they have another BOT meeting on September 7.

What about ESPN? Will ESPN just sit back and continue to make money off of FSU/Clemson in the B1G for home events through 2036? Or, will ESPN quickly negotiate with the ACC to place Clemson/FSU in the SEC; thereby permanently blocking the B1G from these valuable southern assets?

Of course, that comes down to money! ESPN will have to decide if it is more cost-effective in this climate to reap the “home” media revenue through the B1G deal through 2036 or pay the ACC more (from increased SEC media & CFB Payoff revenues) to pluck Clemson/FSU out of the ACC and into the SEC.

Interesting to think about…
