This is a move I wouldn't mind seeing. With depth issues at safety, I think Hamlin could contribute. Additionally, he is a plus special teams player.
At times a player coming to play for the home town team adds additional pressure. He overcame dying on the football field. If he was able to play again after what he went through, I think he can handle the additional pressure of playing for his home town team.
