'Hueitt Departs Pitt Team Due to Personal Reasons'

PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh Department of Athletics announced Michael Hueitt, Jr., has left the men’s basketball team due to personal reasons Thursday afternoon.

Hueitt, Jr., appeared in five games this season averaging 3.2 points per game on 7-of-10 shooting from the field. He last appeared in a game Dec. 16, 2023, finishing with a season-high eight points on 3-of-3 shooting from the field, including a 2-of-2 effort from three-point range. Hueitt has 218 points, 72 rebounds, and 59 three-point field goals in 43 career games at the Division I level.
