PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Pitt running back James Conner joined "The Fan Morning Show" Wednesday to talk about his team's offseason training under first-year head coach Pat Narduzzi.

Conner said Narduzzi has been focused on making sure that Pitt can do a better job of closing out games in 2015 than it did in 2014.

"We're doing our fourth-quarter conditioning program right now," Conner said. "Coach Narduzzi is really stressing finishing strong. We've had trouble with that in the past, not being able to finish games."

Conner explained that the team's alarms have been set for 4:30 a.m. and they've been up by 5:30 to get on the field.

"Early bird gets the worm, that's the motto," Conner said. "Guys are buying in. When you get up that early, it's helping you with your mental too, and not just the physical. If guys are training their minds to just push through things and finish strong, it'll translate to the field."
