I think Nate Yarnell should be the presumptive starting QB next year. I also think it would be a terrible mistake if Pitt brings in a transfer and anoints him as the starter the way they gave the job to Jurkovec this year. I don’t think there was ever a real competition for the starting QB this year. Was it due to Cignetti’s loyalty to Jurkovec who knows.
I just don’t want Pitt to make the same mistake again. I think Pitt has to make clear that Nate is going in as the starter and any transfer has to clearly beat him out.
one other thought. Yarnell really never played that much in high school so I think he may have a lot more upside than normal once he gets more game experience.
