Note sure it could be a worse matchup for Pitt. In 21 games, Pitt has made 94 threes. In 22 games, Notre Dame has made 196. Basically, 100 more makes on the year. Notre Dame has five players with more made threes than Pitt's leader (Jones with 29).

Connaughton is back for his eighth year and shooting 46% from three. Just a really difficult matchup all the way around. Pitt struggles to defend the three, and a lot of it comes from the lack of containment on the perimeter. Notre Dame shoots it very well, and penetrates well.
I put Notre Dame right up there with Virginia and Duke as far as matchups with this team. Notre Dame actually has a legit chance to win the regular season.
