Ya House in PCB Got Run over by a tornado….
28 miles of beach and it picked 4 houses over to land and move forward.
Anyone have any experience with this. Have had rentals for 30 years never had 1 claim.
The house is standing but structurally im not sure. Most of the roof came off Sheeting and all ceilings in the upstairs collapsed lots of water got in. Put temp. Sheeting on and tarps. I can push the wall on the second floor and shake it. Had a licensed home inspector over and said the whole house needs gutted and entire roof including trusses need replace. Entire wall on storm side needs rebuilt.
Should I call a structural engineer before the insurance guy who cant be here til Friday looks at it? Home inspector was 500 and is writing report. Engineer will be about 5K which im ok with.
My biggest fear is the insurance adjuster comes and says he is gonna give me 80/90K. This is gonna be every bit of 200/250K??
