If Barnes wants that Committee to really have some great input, they should ask Chris Peak Rivals to put up a Message Board where Posters, Fans, and Alumni can put up some ideas on how to gain more support and innovations and correct some mistakes in the past to bring back some Pitt Supporters long gone.

In my opinion, this is a real step in the right direction and far better effort and refutation of Pederson's Ego Mismanagement since his return and after his termination!

Hope some of the great Posters we have on the Lair apply!

Pitt athletic director Scott Barnes is giving fans a voice. Barnes, who has been officially on the job less than two weeks, announced plans Wednesday to form a committee of fans that will provide feedback to the athletic department.

Barnes said the committee, named the Panther Fans Experience Committee, will be composed of approximately 20 Pitt graduates, fans and students who will serve voluntary two-year terms and meet four times a year.

Barnes said he intends for the committee's focus to include fan experiences before, during and after games; improved communication between fans and the department; customer service; ticket servicing; donor support; and any other pertinent issues.

“In short, we want to know how Pitt athletics can better serve its fans,” Barnes said in a statement. “The best way to do that is by engaging our people and asking for their thoughts and opinions. By working together, we can create a fan experience that ranks among the finest in the country.”

Fans can apply for positions on the committee through the Fan Experience Committee Application link on PittsburghPanthers.com. The application deadline is July 8. Barnes expects the committee to hold its initial meeting in August.

It's pretty much standard operating procedure.
Like the previous regime.

Good you should be one of the few that should not apply, all you will do will blame the Fans and Committee as you do Posters here, Pitt needs positive people and you do not qualify! Not an opinion, just a fact when I read your posts here.

My oh my, how does it feel to be dead wrong again....and...again? I cited the source for you too, to remind you, how little you know, and how much more you make up?

"He said Pitt has the largest “living fan base” in the ACC. “Do we have more than anybody as it relates to engaged alumni?” he said. “Not yet. But it's a wonderful place to start.
To that end, Barnes has taken an idea that led to changes at Utah State — where he was athletic director for the past seven years — and brought it to Pitt. .........He has announced plans to form a 20-member Panther Fans Experience Committee that will meet quarterly, voice concerns and, hopefully, formulate ideas. “It's an opportunity to engage fans in a real way,” he said, “not only to listen to them, but certainly executing some of their ideas over time.” After one day, he said there are 350 applicants. "
