I've noticed that many schools are getting visits and interest from high-ranking, high-profile transfers. This includes some of Pitt's competitors, including Syracuse. Yet, I don't see Pitt in the running for those same transfers. Is it NIL availability, last season's record, or just a lesser sophisticated evaluating system for the portal? If Pitt wants to compete on a high level and beat top teams, they are going to have to compete for top transfers, especially those of positions of need. I think Pitt has gotten some good transfers so far, but some of these other schools are competing above their level in the portal.
