Softball team makes the NCAA tournament, playing Cal in the Michigan regional. Game will be on ESPNU on Friday at 3:30.

I was actually sitting here thinking that if we were going to make it there was a really good chance they'd put us in the Michigan regional. While obviously geography isn't the only consideration (witness us playing Cal) they do take it into account when setting the bracket.

By the way, everyone should go to the Pitt twitter account and watch the video of the team watching the selection show when Pitt came up on the screen. Good stuff.
