It is becoming difficult for me to keep up my interest in college sports. It is hard for me in so many areas of the game. I really miss the old rivalries. Pitt, versus Wake Forest, Pitt, versus Cincinnati, ETC, just doesn’t get it. I don’t mind athletes getting monetary stipends beyond their scholarships. Giving them $500-$1000 a week always made sense to me. Are some players now getting $1 million a year? Ridiculous. I have a couple of basic questions regarding NIL payments.
1. Do the schools publish the amounts that individuals are receiving? If I am asked to contribute, I feel like I should know where the money is going.
