My beautiful Maltese puppy Porter passed away yesterday after a 3–4-year battle with kidney disease and a recent bout of pancreatitis. He was 11.5 years old. He was my daughter-in-law's dog originally, but I used to watch him a lot. As time went on, I watched him more and more until it got to the point where he wanted to be with me. He has been with me full time for 5 and a half years. What made him special was that he chose me. He is the first dog I ever had and the pain of his loss is overwhelming me. I am devastated and don't know how to ease the pain. Any advice ?
Way OT : my dog passed away yesterday. Any lairmen know how to make it stop hurting ?
