I’m glad OSU-Indiana isn’t on the same time as Pitt

Probably the ratings would say otherwise. These guys know what they are doing.

Although, hard to imagine who was watching that Purdue game.
Not quite.

"CBS, in its first season with a full Big Ten lineup, has seen viewership for its 3:30 games drop from 5.1 million last season to 3.64 million this year."

Meanwhile, at least for the first half of the year ABC was cleaning house with the ratings with their rights to broadcast the SEC.

Guess we lost Dotson

Huh? Addison won the Biletnikoff, Means & DJ Turner are earning an NFL paycheck, Mumfield is solid, Taysir Mack when healthy was pretty good.

Kenny Johnson shows potential, Jared Wayne was pretty decent

Sorry wolfie, you are off base on this one

Addison - hit
Means - transfer
Turner - transfer
Mumpfield - transfer
Mack - transfer
Johnson - hasn't done much

SoOoOoOo... wide receiver recruiting has been awful.

Guess we lost Dotson

4. Wide receiver recruiting under Narduzzi had been inexcusable, and they better hit the transfer jackpot on somebody

Where’s the part where finding a few diamonds in the rough over the years (like every other P4 team does) translates to a lot of winning?

I mean who cares if Dooz, or Chryst, or Wanny, or WLAT, or whoever finds a few gold nuggets in a shit pile here and there, unless it’s translating to a lot of good football?

You need about 44 good players on one roster, or 30 good ones and a couple of great ones to field a legit top 25 football team.

Correct. Every P4 team in America has players as good or better than many of the ones above. Regardless, and without bringing up the same arguments as to why it is statistically better to recruit 4/5 stars than 2/3 stars, I'll just say:

1. The lifeblood of a Narduzzi team is its D line, so hopefully they can keep this core intact

2. No idea how you fix this O line in one season, but it feels like the guys already on the roster need to get a lot better

3. Should be in contention for the best LBers in the country if they all come back; hopefully that distinction means something to them and entices them to do such

4. Wide receiver recruiting under Narduzzi had been inexcusable, and they better hit the transfer jackpot on somebody

lol, the Dukes

First of all, one thing you can be guaranteed is that I have never watched social media videos of some random 5th grader for any reason what so ever.

Secondly, if he's a 5th grader is he going to be helping out Joyce's successor, or Joyce's successor's successor?

There is a handshake agreement in place for Dru to have Micah's son enroll early and have Bryce James redshirt a year so that he can play a year with Mason in the hopes they can bring a Final Four to The Bluff.

Pitt is what Pitt is

That’s why our coaches are well compensated.
That’s on them .
Otherwise - fire them and buy cheap staff and funnel those
Millions into nil
Now you're just being ridiculous. If you want a competitive program, you shouldn't go cheap with either. It used to be on them. It's really not been that way for a long time.

The boosters that matter at Pitt probably love Narduzzi. He delivers competitive teams with a NIL budget that's in the bottom half of the league. They get reasonably competitive football on the cheap.

Coaches are well compensated everywhere. It's because guys like Jimmy Sexton know how to play boosters and administrators.

Pitt is what Pitt is

2. Location

Guess it depends how you define location. Location is good in that we are in the middle of a pretty good recruiting footprint. Plus you have the closeness to the Steelers.

Location is bad in that you have PSU 3 hours to the east and OSU 3 hours to the west and WVU 90 minutes to the south. Plus the allure of ND who has always recruited this area.

But I think you probably mean location in that we can't have an on-campus stadium due to space & political constraints and have to play in a stadium that is too big for our needs which emphasizes this with hideous bright yellow seats.

In football, we are a Mid-Major

The sooner, the better.
The current “playov” system is designed to be a B1G/SEC invitational.
The “committee” is a lackey of those two leagues. Why not just let the B1G and SEC conference commissioners decide which four or six or eight or ten or twelve teams to send to the “playov”.
Let the two professional leagues have their “playov” and the rest of the remaining teams shed their mid-major status and just play real “college football.
Actually like this at first glance and if that happens they can all just play each other. No more The Citadel on your schedules.

Guess we lost Dotson

It is frustrating, no doubt. I try not to dwell on it, because deep down, we all know. Does this class get me excited, no. All we can do is trust the staff that they can ID some good players,. Most of the 4 star recruits we have gotten haven't been that great but some of the lower rated players have played above their rating. We can only hope for more of these:

Rasheem Biles – OLB - P4 Offers: 2
Braylan Lovelace - OLB - P4 Offers: 1
Cruce Brookins- S - P4 Offers: 3
Sean Fitzsimmons – DE - P4 Offers: 3
Kyle Louis - LB - P4 Offers: 3
Nate Yarnell – QB - P4 Offers: 1
Gavin Bartholomew - TE - P4 Offers: 0
Sirvocea Dennis – LB - P4 Offers: 0
Jared Wayne – WR - P4 Offers: 0
A.J. Woods - CB - P4 Offers: 1
Brandon George – LB - P4 Offers: 1
Matt Goncalves – OT - P4 Offers: 0
Erick Hallet - DB - P4 Offers: 1
Jason Pinnock – DB - P4 Offers: 1
Cameron Bright - LB - P4 Offers: 0
