If ever there was a dog that fit/resembles his owner ...The Governor's ugly mutt probably pissed on the floor.

So Tony Bennett is unique in the world of P4 sports. No coach likes it but being a P4 college football coach is still one of the best jobs and smallest, most exclusive clubs in the entire world. You think he’d rather work for a living and have real problems than coach college football, make 7 mill/year and deal with the hassle of NIL? Gimme a break.
This weird Lair narrative that Dooz is so “old school” and principled that he’d give all that up voluntarily is just laughable.
thom, I had forgotten that Sherrill was forced out. I thought TAM had hired him for more $$ than what we (Pitt) were willing to pay. Promoting Foge to HC was a mistake (he was an excellent position coach) and, well, the rest is downhill from there ...Sherrill never wanted to leave.
Im glad I’m not the only one who was like where did these throne chairs keep appearing from. Went from one to two to three retro vintage chairs. The Governor's ugly mutt probably pissed on the floor.
I know there was a push to bring American players back but I'd have to think the better players can still make much more money overseas. Courtney Buzzerio came back from Italy/France and will play for Atlanta this year but she also started coaching at Holy Cross (Assistant) so I think that's part of her motivation.Wondering the same thing.....no idea at the moment.....same thing goes for Emmy Klika. Some of these USA volleyball athletes decide to play in Europe instead. The USA venture into professional volleyball is very recent.
6A doesn’t have enough teams to coordinate with the other classifications. It makes no sense to reserve 2 weekends at Acrisure for HS playoffs in which hardly anyone attends and the field is going to potentially get wrecked.I think they should play the games at Acrisure, it's a nice reward for the kids and something of local folklore. I just don't think they should plan to make a lot of money on attendance. Find a sponsor. The Tull guy is a Steelers minority owner and donated $20 million so Sewickley Academy could be good at basketball....maybe he can spare $50k per year to let all 6 Championship Games be played at Acrisure (i.e. rent it for 2 different days_.
Nobody is walking away from a huge pile of money. It doesn't matter if they're old school or new school.
He's only leaving one way, and that's with a big fat check.
I received an email as a Panther Club member. Maybe because I donate to the VB championship fund? There was an email to season ticket holders. They mention public sale Dec 1, after the selection show.
Indiana is a good example of what Pitt could be with NIL money. Yes, historically not much support but apparently that's changed. You are right teams don’t go 3-9 to 11-0 in one season, Indiana just went 10-1 after 3-9 last season. Probably will end up 11-1. Yes they have not play powerhouses until OSU but they beat everyone else on their schedule no matter how weak it is perceived. This is a program with far less tradition and historically has not supported the football program because basketball is king there.
Name me any power 4 team that plays an OOC of all other P4 teams. The reality is teams play “tune up” games for OOC opponents.
So we are writing this upcoming week off as a loss already. I am going to wait for the game to play out before penciling in a loss.
You have no idea about how this locker room functions and neither do I.
If I had six wins, I'd rather opt out and get to recruiting the portal over playing in some bottom tier bowl game. Pitt took crap for doing that in basketball (opting out of the consolation tournament) but I'd say that looks like the right move in retrospect.Bowl eligible doesn't really move the needle much.
They totally list all teams receiving votes and how many. It sets the stage for who typically moves up when top 25 teams lose. I understood what he meant by top 35.There is no Top 35, you are either ranked or you are not. The ranking is Top 25. I don't why that's the number, but it is and there is no changing it.
