Lots of angles you could look at this from, so I'll just choose a few:
1) I have mentioned this before, but 15 OL taken in the first three rounds from 1992-2012. From 2013-2022, that number is 2, and they were both 3rd round picks. You win football games in the trenches. You're not going to hit on all the picks, but neglect the OL at your own peril.
2) 2010 was a lowkey excellent draft.
3) Some bad luck sprinkled in with Worilds, Spence, Shazier, Tuitt, etc. I think Golson may have also gotten injured. That 2014 draft looks like when the Pirates won 98 games and still had to play in the wildcard round. Sometimes you do things right, but...
4) Seems like a weird amount of relative hits who did not sign a second contract here, but I guess I'd have to see the league average.
5) Ridiculous amount of high draft capital thrown at the defense from 2013 - 2020. That unit took way too long to rebuild, though some of it is tied into #3.
6) Some big-time "ouchie" drafts on this list. I wouldn't know where to begin in picking the worst. 2008 looks like a good start, but there are plenty of contenders.
