Julian Duggar

With all of the talk about who will be our quarterback of the future, I have seen no suggestion (maybe I have missed it) that it might be Duggar. Obviously tough for a freshman to take over as the startng qb and he is only a three star, but he is certainly having a lights out senior season as a dual threat quarterback at a big high school. Is there any chance that he is ready to compete with CV for the starting job next year and then be our qb for four years?

The Morning Pitt: 12/18/2024 - Reid, Louis and Pitt's path to success

What can the individual achievements of Desmond Reid and Kyle Louis tell us about Pitt's path to success in the new world of college football? We're looking at those two players and what the Panthers need to do moving forward on today's Morning Pitt.

Recruiting Update Transfer LB taking visit

Sam Brumfield told Panther-Lair.com that he will be taking an official visit this weekend. Brumfield played for Middle Tennessee State this past season, where he played in all 12 games for the Blue Raiders and started 10 of them. He was the team's leading tackler with 82 tackles. Brumfield also posted a team-high 3.5 sacks and 6.5 TFLs, good for third on the team. He also forced three fumbles this season for MTSU, which finished 4-8 on the year. Brumfield was named second team All-Conference USA this year as well.

Brumfield played the 2021-2022 seasons at Northwest Mississippi CC. In 2022 he earned all-region honors after posting 115 tackles, 13 TFLs, six sacks, and two forced fumbles. He will have one year to play. He also told us he already visited Virginia Tech as well. For whatever reason, he deleted all of his offers off of Twitter, but I'm going to try and track down all of his offers, but he seemingly is a pretty high sought after player.
