How can a coach have hubris in all the wrong ways? How can they puff their chest in the worst decisions and wilt in the easiest?
Let's take score:
1.) Starting a walk-on, letting him play 2.5 quarters after throwing absolute floating duck after floating duck. Even excusing the interceptions, he threw two hospital balls to our remaining best prospects for next year.
2.) Securing a 10 point lead with 10 minutes left and having the idiocy to put all Freshmen in at the skill positions, leading to a Pick-6.
3.) Having a chance to win the game in 2OT, but deciding to allow a TE to throw to a DT.
An absolute, total lack of awareness and situation.
Now let's swing to the other side:
1.) Refusing to let the best kicker in our school's history have a shot at glory with 1 second left and no downside.
2.) Kicking a field goal from 2 yard line, in 2OT
I've backed Pat for years, but he really is an emotional idiot and flat out P***** at the worst times. It's over, he needs to go. If the new AD is serious about NIL in the slightest, rip the band aid off as quickly as possible. This is one of the most pathetic performances I've ever seen from this program.
