It would be a great season and I would be delighted if we did it. However, I am not on board entirely with you. I still believe we win 1-2 less than 18.
That would be great if we got to 18 wins and be an NIT bubble team. But I think that a winning season with 16 wins is about all I'm expecting.
I was all in for a 20 win season and could still happen but it maybe a stretch now that I have seen the team but as they are getting better it wouldn't surprise me if they hit 20 but realistically I have to back it down to maybe 16 to 18 wins. I really hope I am DEAD wrong and I would love to be wrong.

I think that is achievable. I expect Pitt to improve the more these kids play together. 18 wins and an NIT bid would be a very good season.
Pitt is going to make the NIT at the very least. Guess who they'll likely be playing? Duquesne, which would actually be ironic since they didn't play this year. That said, the NCAA's aren't out of the question for either in this crazy year where DePaul has suddenly become a power again, and blue bloods are losing to nondescript teams.
Unfortunately the ACC looks to be down this year so the bubble won’t be good to us.

But I’ll say this, the OP is working under the assumption that we stay healthy. This team can’t afford any injuries. It’s not built to withstand any.
It isn't only the ACC that is down--all of college basketball seems down as well.
no such thing as an 18 win ACC NIT "bubble" team...18 wins would put them at a 4 seed or better...
Any winning record will get an ACC team into the NIT unless they play an awful out of conference schedule where they go 13-0, and then tank in league play, which would leave them with a poor power rating.
