what did you think of the call?

what did you think of the execution? - Peterman? - Weah?

Only nice pass call the whole game. I loved it but Peterman is horrible and couldn't thread the needle. No touch on the pass and it was a horrible pass. An accurate pass and Weah probably scores.

The ONLY aggressive play call after the delay. That is coaching not to lose. Let's run a sweep to a banged up JC on third and 4 and try to pin them deep and hope that our D can hold them again.

Ehh...Weah appeared to be afraid to reach out for the ball. Not a great pass, but certainly catchable.

I thought so too, but was not sure. That is why I asked what others thought.
I think the 2nd defender complicated things

Effort to adjust to the pass was non-existent. Not a great pass (probably putting a little bit of air under that throw would have been better) but Weah has no ability whatsoever to adjust his route on plays like that. Tyler Boyd would have had that one easily. Weah can catch balls with some loop in them, and he showed he can pull in a nicely thrown slant. But get some DB's crossing in front of him or distracting him and it's over.

The second defender definitely blocked Weah's view of the pass for a split second, but it appeared he had alligator arms coming down the middle.

I agree with that. The pass might have had a better chance had it been to his right.

I don't think weah had enough time to adjust once he saw the ball. But this involves two guys fans like to bash so pick your poison here.

Agreed. Seeing it (granted, only once) from the angle behind the LOS, Weah's gotta make a better effort to extend for the ball there, particularly in crunch time with the game on the line.

I just watched it again - My opinion after seeing it again, is that Weah could have caught the pass.

It seems to me that Weah was not satisfied stretching out for the catch. He was hoping to catch the ball and keep running for another score. I think he could have caught the ball and gone to the ground with a catch.

I would like to hear what VAPITTALUM thinks

That was just such a terrible call. I actually said no way they run there because everyone in the world expects that.

And it is a surprise when Weah catches a ball, not the other way around.

Best development from the WR corps last game was Tipton showing some ability. Hopefully he'll emerge as proper WR target for Peterman to go along with Orndoff at TE and Henderson at FL.
