Pitt can't pull a Clemson or NC State kinda game on us (the fans) for this one. For worst case scenario, we at least want a close loss. But, we need a victory to prove Pitt is legit.

Yeah.... a REALLY big game.

I fingered this one as the biggest game of the season and it is living up to that perspective.

If you win this one, then even if we lose the next two both on the road, it is not the end of the season. The ACC Tourney and the NCAA Tourney... do not allow teams to play at home (for the most part).

It is not only big for this season but also the matter of whether or not Jamie Dixon is gonna pull out of the slump he has been experiencing the last four years.

If we lose then, say, we beat Miami on the road, I don't know if that makes up for not being able to defend your home court. And beating Miami on the road should be a more difficult task than winning this one at home.

Beating UVA is not easy though. They make VERY FEW mistakes. But, it will be interesting to see what they do about Mike Young... if they double him like most teams do it might take them out of their normal defense.

Win this and 10-8 is pretty much a lock to get in. Lose and we might need 11 ACC wins including the ACCT and that Wednesday ACCT game will be a dogfight

I think 10-8 in the ACC is a lock. A win today just makes 10-8 a more realistic possibility.
