2 New Potential Additions

On Chris’s Twitter he mentioned a new commit. One of these 2 or someone else? Any ideas?

Speaking of additions, does anyone think this class grows before the National Letter of Intent Day? Looks like they’re at 21 right now, counting the one recruit who did not sign today.

Beatty and Partridge get credit for the top of the class. Overall, Pitt needs to do better to keep up with UNC and Miami and needs to bring in more talent on offense but it's good to see the class in the top 5 of the ACC. Will be interesting to see what transfers they can add. A couple of offensive playmakers would be nice and having Pickett back might help with convincing a player or two to transfer.

Crumpley is Pitt bound. A Pitt recruiting guy told Chris Anderson (and others) that he was WVU bound last week in an effort to make it look like Pitt “swooped in today” to get him. This isn’t the case. He was always Pitt bound. Really strange.

I agree. No way this talented CB would seriously consider WVU over Pitt.

Who is this "Pitt recruiting guy"? We happen to know that several of the bloggers are full of crap so your reputation is safe.

It is nice to see 4 Coastal teams in the top 25 though. That division needs to build some cred. I am hoping we can snag 1 or 2 OL from JC or Grad Transfers. Overall, happy with the class though.

No kidding; talk about a good time to strengthen recruiting, considering the jobs being done at UNC and Miami. Also, I’m not sure Geoff Collins is the man to do it at Georgia Tech, but they seem to be a “sleeping giant” with the talent available in Atlanta and Georgia as a whole. Overall, the Coastal really has a chance to take off.

Nice size for the position. Defensively, get guys who can rush the passer and guys who can cover, anything else is just a bonus. But if you have these two areas strong, you're gonna have a good defense.

It seriously hurts Georgia Tech to go against Clemson and UGA yearly, their ceiling is basically 10-3 and that's if they're perfect throughout and make it to the ACC Championship game. More likely they lose 1-2 others and they're a 9-4. They have a hard ceiling similar to ours when we played PSU, ND, and UCF in the same year.

Lots of other ACC and SEC teams also heavily recruit from Atlanta. I saw tons of kids from the North Fulton suburbs and Gwinnett going to ACC teams yesterday. Georgia Tech is rarely going to beat out UGA, Auburn, Alabama, or Clemson for a local kid. They're extremely similar to Pitt where they're an urban school kind of boxed in by some blue-blood programs.
