I wish I could've gotten to see him work with my namesake. There was no doubt the man could coach a quarterback.

I wasn't around for the glory years so for me Walt Harris is the godfather of Pitt football. No he didn't resurrect Pitt as Majors did but he also had more going against him when he took over. On top of everything else he seemed like a genuinely good guy from the few times I talked to him. I'm glad his relationship with Pitt football is repaired and he shows up at practices from time to time.
As for that Rutgers game, I was there in the cold rain on that day. Pete Gonzalez vs Mike McMahon was quite the battle.
