Because I'm a Pitt basketball fan. I'm also a realist. I know that Pitt will never make the NCAA Tournament under Jeff Capel. I also understand that Capel hasn't landed a single elite recruit yet. So my question is why would this kid come here now????

While that is true. Hugley is a very good big man. The same reasons you gave could be at almost every top 25 program in the country.
