Do we know what tournament we are in next year? The NYC games are cool but we seem to have the least variety in where we go. I wouldn’t mind making a tropical trip to PR, Mexico, Bahamas, etc.

Do I?….You joke but the Greenbrier Resort in southern West Virginia hosted the Marshall/Radford game in its ballroom as a walk-through for a tournament they are thought to be trying to host next year. Imagine having to spend half a week in southern WV?

I sure could think of countless places to spend a half week a lot worse than the Greenbrier. This Charleston Classic I’m currently watching seems like a good one, although it’s technically a week before thanksgiving (but maybe that’s better?). Charleston in mid-November is still pretty nice, fun southern town to visit.
Orlando or Myrtle Beach - I have family in both areas. If you guys could pick a tournament for us, where would you pick? For argument's sake, lets assume the team would be NCAAT caliber. Where would you personally go?
For me its:
1. Maui
2. Atlantis
3. Disney
4. Myrtle Beach or Charleston (not great sites but close and I like the long weekend deal in an area where it could possibly be 70 degrees)
5. Rainbow Classic 🌈

I imagine it would be absolutely beautiful...horrible half a week at a 5 star resort in one of the most scenic areas of the country...You joke but the Greenbrier Resort in southern West Virginia hosted the Marshall/Radford game in its ballroom as a walk-through for a tournament they are thought to be trying to host next year. Why not Nemacolin then?...uh, because they did not for reasons unknown here, maybe?...Why didn't the US Congress chose it for their nuke headquarters, who know?In November? Yea, horrible. Why not Nemacolin then? These tournaments are in touristy/warm weather locations. Spending half a week in Southern WV in November is cruel and unusual punishment.

Why don't you just admit every once in a while when you say something stupid?...you disparaged a beautiful part of the country and a really nice resort trying to be clever, got called out on it, and then, as always change the narrative .
btw, in that I have been to both locales I would take southern West Virginia in November over Puerto Rico in any month of the year...

1) are they going to have an off day in the middle? Seems like you might have to stay 2 nights.I expect you to attend then because this is where Pitt is going. A ballroom in Appalachia.
Honestly, I'll probably go but I dont like this tournament. Pitt never seems to go to warm locations to give you an excuse to make a little vacation out of it. This is close enough close enough to stay 1 night and see 2 games. But I dont like the field at all so Pitt better schedule better in the rest of the OOC. If they play Wisconsin, that's an L that early in the season. Wisky D will already be in midseason form. And you cant expect UCF to be anything. I guess they can have a decent NET in the B12 but you cant count on them. I'd guess we play UCF and then Wisky plays the 4th team to be named later, who I cant imagine will be very good.
I am hearing that in November 2026, we will be playing in the Nemacolin ballroom.
Nah, unlike you I think my family wants me around for the holiday...I expect you to attend then because this is where Pitt is going. A ballroom in Appalachia.

How much seating do they have?Greenbrier is an awesome venue!!!

You always complain about attendance and how it looks on TV, those Bahamas or Hawaii games often seem like they are played in empty high school gyms.If you guys could pick a tournament for us, where would you pick? 2) Wisconsin should be alright next season. Young team this year. Although, Capel has been really good against like the UVA‘s of the world, which I would consider Wisconsin. The offense should play. UCF - again, decent NET this year. Mystery team - really can’t be worse than Oregon St this season. I wonder if it will be like a local-ish team, maybe a good mid major like VCU something like that?
3) Pitt’s OOC is usually fine so long as WVU and the SEC team we play aren’t historically bad. WVU, SEC team (probably a decent team given Pitt should be picked fairly high next year in ACC if Bub and Lowe are back?), UCF, Wisconsin. That’s a good start. Then schedule 5 teams you can beat by 100 and schedule another 2 decent mid majors who you will beat just because they are home games.
Will it be televised
I’m not sure we lose Bub, and even if we do, a backcourt of Sophomore Lowe, Senior Ish, and Cummings is really good. Capel will get guys in the Portal, and GDG could be excellent with another year of improvement.Yea, looks like they take a break on Saturday when college football takes over the airwaves. I'll probably just go Friday. Drive down and drive back same day. If we win Friday and play Wisky, I may go back Sunday but not sure I want to put that much effort to watch 54-50 type of game.
Losing Hinson and probably Bub, you absolutely have to plan for losing to Wisconsin and getting nothing out of this tournament. WVU is a mystery. Could be really good or really bad depending on who they hire and if they still go big in NIL. The SEC Challenge is also a mystery because you dont know you are going to get and its probably going to be on the road so that can be an L. So this is a very possible non-con
UCF: win over not a great team
WVU: win over not a great team or loss vs a good team
Wisky: L
@ SEC: L
Need another game or 2. You dont see people doing this anymore but with all these teams being 1 year AAU teams and with non-con games being so important for the conference NET, I wished the ACC would play more conference games in Nov/Dec so and some big non-cons later once the teams have gelled.

I’m not conceding games to Wisconsin now lol.
Why? We beat UVA’s defense the last two years. Is Wisconsin even good on defense anymore? I don’t really think so.Yea but we arent beating Wisconsin's D in November. Im conceding that one.
Plz STFU and go to the wvcc board. You're nauseatingI expect you to attend then because this is where Pitt is going. A ballroom in Appalachia.
