These things happen, I’m watching Gus Malzahn (of all people) school Mario Cristobal this 2nd half with the adjustments they made on defense. May still not be enough with this true freshman QB really struggling, but I feel pretty confident saying no one is going to do this to Oregon’s offense again all season.

Remember when people hear wanted Cristobal. He's blown 2 openers his team had in the bag due to poor play calling and clock management.

I assume you are thinking the offense. Like last year there are no adjustments to make. We are extremely limited on offense, so if someone figures out how to stop what we are doing we struggle.

Posted this on the pay board, but... between their 8 losses last night and all last season, Pitt has a total of 2 offensive TD’s in the second half and has been outscored 133-27.

What adjustments do the fans expect during the games with a roster that lacks high end football talent. Adjustment has to take place during the recruiting period and HCPN has failed to bring in high rated quality recruiting classes. This failure will eventually get him fired but there are at least 2 or 3 more years of this brand of football.

Agree what happened last year was some teams played us straight up and then after realizing they couldn't stop the run they put more guys in the box and dared us to throw the adjustment for that is play action and more throws early in downs but when you struggle to complete a forward pass what else can you do. You have to recruit better offensive players they haven't recruited a QB in 5 years and it looks like the 6th class won't have one either.

Narduzzi has always been incapable of making half time adjustments. He will never make them.

We haven't had good recruiting with quality players under Narduzzi and there is no indication it's getting better. The thing I feel the worst about is that there were a bunch of basketball recruits at the game last night and this is what we showed them. The hell with his recruiting because what we see him recruiting the last 4 years is what we're going to get. But it's influencing the basketball recruiting and that's not good. For football, until Narduzzi learns to recruit the higher end players and has a clue about coaching them, I'm afraid we're stuck with 4-8 to maybe 6-6 seasons for the foreseeable future, until he's gone and we rebuild the program.

And who the hell cares about the silly uniforms? I don't care if they play in street clothes, as long as they play hard and give it their best shot and win once in a while.

I think the Pitt O was just inept, particularly the QB. Seemed like they brought more pressure, likely because there was no fear of getting beat on a big play. Not sure what adjustments you can make short of changing the QB.

I read a lot about lack of defensive adjustments, but here are UVA's possessions:

1st half
11 plays 53 yards - FG
3 plays 19 yards - TD
5 plays 20 yards - punt
8 plays 63 yards - FG
5 plays 10 yards - punt
2 plays 22 yards - end of half

2nd half
10 plays 47 yards - FG
5 plays 29 yards - TD
3 plays 8 yards - punt
5 plays 13 yards - punt
9 plays 30 yards - missed FG
5 plays 27 yards - TD

I don't think any adjustments were made between 1st and 2nd half against the D. They were on the field all night and UVA had great field position all night. They played well enough to win.
