Pitt and Duquesne gained 20 wins in the same season. Too bad RMU couldn’t do the same. Pathetic showing for Duquesne’s 20th win last night. Basketball in the city at all levels being good should energize the winters of the pens are In some lean years.

Play the City Game. Do the Nelson twins have any grandsons?

Don't count out Robert Morris yet. They have 16 wins. If they win the Horizon League Tournament, that would give them 19 wins, then if they win the Play-in game in Dayton they'd be 20.

I honestly couldn't care any less as to whether or not we play Duquesne. That game does absolutely nothing for me, and the series hasn't been competitive since I've been born.

Perhaps that the same snoody attitude we complain about Penn State having toward us in football, so I'm empathetic if others want it played; just doesn't matter to me.

I’d like to have the Steel City tournament with Pitt, Duquesne, Bobby Mo, and Kentucky. Cal might be in a sentimental mood and agree to it.
Steel Bowl was awesome - saw UCLA in 1970 beat Pitt in the final after Pitt upset the Nelson twins when Durham was injured. Dukes were 21-4 that year

I hate Duquense. I’m old enough to remember when the Dukes had the pedigree and Pitt hoops was a mongrel program that DU avoided. The Eastern 8 brought them together for a decade of glorious bloodletting. Every game a brawl. Pitt rose in prominence, snatched the city’s attention and left Duquesne in the dust. I enjoyed every Pitt victory over the Bluff Bums as much as any win over Syracuse or UConn. Wish the City game would return. But I’d sooner root for Wvu than the Dukes.

The Dukes kind of snuck up on everyone because of Pitt’s success this year. Great job by the Dukes.

I would like to see Pitt and the Dukes play annually.

I, also, would like to see a Pittsburgh tournament yearly with Pitt, Duquesne, Robert Morris, Penn State, Nova, Penn, Drexel, and Temple. I just think it would be cool to have the major PA teams in one tournament. Call it the QUAKER STATE ROUNDBALL CLASSIC or something.
It'd have to be in Philly every other year. At least Rollie couldn't call the shots.

Cal might be pushed out next week. How soon people forget the good days.

No chance. Best recruiting class of all time coming in. He’ll leave gracefully next year
OK, I don't follow recruiting for other schools. Cal is a good guy...wish we had rolled the dice when Chipman bailed out. Evans was a disaster.

I’d subscribe to this. Can’t forget St Joe’s La Salle, Bucknell, Lehigh, and Lafayette!

There's ZERO chance of anything more than Pitt vs. Duquesne. Our NET would collapse.

The NCAA prohibits 2 teams from the same conference playing in a tournament. That's actually why I took Drexel instead of St. Joe's.

The NCAA also permits 2 or 3 games in a tournament per season. Eight teams would allow each team to play a minimum of 2 games , and 4 teams to play 3 games with a consolation bracket.

With more than 8 teams, it would be awkward to determine a champion in only 3 games.
