This past week’s 3-2-1 on Pitt’s correctable mistakes (aka unforced errors) was a good one.
Watching the LSU-‘Bama game reminded me of it (and Pitt this season), especially the 1st half.
Drops, turnovers, penalties, etc. were ever present for Saban’s team of 5-stars coached by the consensus best HC of his generation.
The net-net IMO is that it A) happens to every college team, and B) that it may cost you the game against a similarly talented team, but C) not necessarily.
A goal for “unforced errors per game” could be calculated based on data from P5 games, but I’d guess it’s 4 or less.
