The 3rd and 6 was a misread by Pickett. Rewatch it and if yes pulls the ball hack and hits Aston with the shovel pass it was wide open up the middle. Not saying I wish they didn't throw more also but Peterman seemed to he able to read those and make the right choice.

Not sure about the pass option but Pickett did misread the read option. The DL had not committed and Pickett just gave the ball to French.

Yes I rewatched it twice. Aston is coming up the line for shovel option and the line has the middle blocked with a big hole.

Wait I thought we were talking about the 3rd and 6-that went to Hall. I can’t rewind it on the Firestick but it would be unusual to have the shovel pass as a read option play. But I’ll take your word for it.

Yeah I thought that was a bad decision by Pickett on that particular play.

I only caught it on the first replay they showed on TV. Then I went back and rewatched twice. Aston lines up just outside the RT and then delays for a second and then comes up the line trailing Pickett. He isn't blocking and clearly looks like he ready to get a shovel if it comes to him. I think Pickett should be reading that middle backer and if he is already trying to get outside then the middle is open.
