Agree, Penn State was almost at its limit, and chose to go after 1 or 2 others over Proctor, but now that could be back in play, unless Proctor feels he is consider a leftover at Penn State like Kam found today?
Penn State has some LBs in the Pipeline already, but Pitt needs them, Smart Recruits go to Teams that need them right away....Proctor will decide soon.
Wish him well no matter what he decides. There are some others on the fence at PSU too if you go on PennLive.
Va Tech has at least equal or better requirements to the diploma factory.

Should probably revisit this post tomorrow when Castro Fields makes his announcement.....or remind you we recently flipped a Florida commit. Ohio State and Alabama have each had more decommits than PSU this year...it's reality for every program. Rivers committed almost 14 months ago but has been 50/50 at best since summer for anyone that followed his situation closely. Not losing any sleep over decommits this year. The staff and team have done everything conceivable to keep these guys in the fold whether that be winning on the field or upgrading facilities. In the case of Rivers, if he wants to stay in state and be close to his girlfriend, more power to him. It would have been nice to have more notice to work other targets but Faison Walden and Brailyn Franklin are every bit as legit at OLB as Rivers would be.

I lived in Philly from 1978 to 1989, they whine, boo, and often make fun of their own Players, Coaches, and Teams, I used to hear them argue with NYC Fans of which City and Sports were better, they simply have an overestimation of their City and Sports and it shows up with acting superior but the lack the realities they make themselves Inferior much as Penn Staters acted during the Paterno Years, until the Penn State Football Scandal showed even Joe thought he and only he could discipline his Players and no University, NCAA or Title IX could tell him otherwise, until his own Hindsight proved his own previous judgment otherwise!
Philly and Penn State Fans (Not All But Many) have the same problems they want respect but can't earn it by thinking and saying they are superior without being bale to back it up, and that is inferior thing.
There is No Upside In Talking Down on others and Confidence comes from recognizing one's mistake and respecting someone else excellence without be worried it reflect on them some how being inferior. Joe was a Great Coach in FB but the myth PSU had more Athletic Integrity when it was actually not complying with Athletic Integrity Laws and No code of Athletic Conducts for Players treated higher and better than students, is like Philly thinking they are better than NYC, Dallas, Pittsburgh Sports Teams even when they lose, and just not true.
Why they think they need to put others down while thinking that somehow builds themselves up is an inferiority complex. One can see on BWI Boards right now. I saw it in Philly many times too.

Sometimes Rivalries turn to Hate and others thinking they are superior and the loser is inferior. Just look at this election, and I am not going there, enough doubts and strife but Leadership stood tall to show all for a while, but then back to Politics.
I watch PSU Fan's scream chants of "FATSO" at Charlie Weis with sad smile beat red on his face as he stood in line trying to get into the Locker Room after early Warm Ups. Many Blue White Fans especially Children were wearing T-Shirts with a Little Kid pointing his Middle Finger, F-You Rudy! So, much for Banter as usual it is a matter of taste? PSU won the game and showed it was back by the way.

My father and I went to the same game where ND was beaten soundly. I'll never forget the verbal abuse my father and I took and we didn't say a word to anyone, just sat there minding our own business before during and after the game. I have hated Penn State ever since and was so glad we crushed them. I wished Charlie would have been like Pete Caroll and scored 60 on them. You think Jo Pa would have only scored 41 if he could score more?? No freakin way. I have zero respect for Joe Paterno and think he is one of the biggest frauds. I can't wait to go back to Pittsburgh in October and wear my ND stuff and get the PSU loser fans pissed off when I walk by on the street or in the mall shopping, etc.

yeah thats a joke. This is the same school that had a partial qualifer in Clark at QB a few years ago. they are just like %90 of college's they will take anyone who meets the min. requirements. Now if they view the guy as marginal prospect they might require better grades to insure they can stay eligible but they aren't turning 5 star prospects down!!!!!!!! Only schools that I know of that actually require higher than NCAA requirements are ND,stanford northwestern, military schools and wisconsin. There maybe one or two I am missing but pretty sure PSU, which in the past took partial Q isnt one of them

It is a Game between Historic Rivals we love winning it, hurts in losing it, but I respect playing it.
Paterno unilaterally ended the Rivalry but his tenure ended up shaming Penn State name, so in Hindsight, he did not get it right, and ended up knowing his reputation and his legacy did not go well, and those can't provide anything to prove otherwise. Joe was Great Coach but he made some great decisions and made big mistakes.

Joe stayed far too long in his job just to win 409 which caused him to contribute as well as ignored serious flaws in old way of running the Program and full of Lack of Institutional Control and Non-Compliance in Athletic Integrity! This is coming as the mixed Legacy of Success Without Honor!

Good post. On both boards there are folks that just never grew up from when you hated the high school rival as kids. We are not kids anymore and the infantile disrespect shown by both fan bases toward each other is a shame.
