I too am super pissed about our offense and Watson. But, what we saw today was an incredible defensive performance.
ND was averaging 46 points per game under Book. We held them to 19 points, at home. I think we’re really underselling how good this defense was today.
Although they scored more points, the defense was also very good against SU. Most importantly, Bates called a totally new backfield game today. This is the type of defense we all hoped we’d get under Narduzzi.
I know the offense is bad, but if we play defense this well the rest of the way, we can easily win all of these last 5 games. Duke, Wake, UVA, VT, and Miami are all very beatable.
