Pinnock I think commits to Pitt this weekend.

Garbutt they have to seal the deal this weekend or he is going back to Hokieville - Interesting Proctor is visiting too will he try & convince him to VT or be open to going to Pitt?

Pitt is taking 1 DB - 2 DE's (Ton to Hopefully land or flip) - Maybe 2 DT's (Twyman & Carter if they commit - I think they need both to stock pile the talent that lacks here) & best player after that (Proctor or AJ Davis or Michael Smith)

Should be a fun ride to February for Pitt

I see Pitt getting Davis and Smith on offense.
I also see them getting defensive backs Pinnock and Johnson/or Boucher
I see them getting Twyman or Carter
I see them getting two of the many defensive ends they are involved with
I see them getting Proctor at linebacker

That is eight more to this class making it 27. With three early entries being able to be moved back to the class of 2016. That would put them at 87 rides I believe.
Could see at least two players leaving the program as it always happens..

HTP!

If we finish with signing/flipping Proctor, and also getting Davis, that would be pretty good. I hope we don't end up regretting the city league kid Robinson. Think he will turn out like those 2 dbacks from Perry who went to WVU and had very good careers.

too much wishful thinking. Not enough reading the reports.

Davis, Twyman, Proctor....whiff on all three

So you see us getting pretty much all of our remaining primary targets, including a guy who appears pretty firmly committed to VT.

I guess you'd qualify as an optimist. Don't get your hopes up for that result.

probably something along these lines. pitt coaches have their chance with proctor and garbutt this weekend, along with some other good players. narduzzi needs to take this decent(his words) class to a good class. they have to be able to close on the top guys. its not about the effort, its about the production.

to win a acc title, we have win more recruiting battles on the top guys. because we know clemson, fsu, miami and vt are going to recruit well. not hitting on enough of the top guys will result in the 7-8 win type seasons.

my hope is a couple of staff additions will lead to good coaches and something to add to the recruiting game.

i'm still holding out hope for both proctor and garbutt, i do like them visiting the same weekend, i think thats a plus.

PN finished very strongly last year, pulling in Watts, Matthews, Camp and Hamlin in the closing days.

I think PittMeister's list is probably pretty accurate. None of us really have any idea whether the two VT commits will flip or not. BTW, of the current commits, four of them were flips, kids who committed elsewhere before switching to Pitt.

I will list 7, thinking we can fit them in.
1. Pinnock
2. Davis
3. Smith
4. Proctor
5. Garbutt/ one of the other DEs
6. Twyman
7. Kam Carter

They want more than 1 DE - Look at how many are visiting the next 3 weeks compared to any other position

It may give us a clue as to what the staff is thinking:

A. They're not counting on Gilbert to continue playing football

B. They might be considering moving a couple of players inside (Weaver).

Pitt is thin at DE and they want to restock, this has nothing to do with Gilberts medical problem this is a depth issue

I see PITT being similar to last year as in we pick up a few talented players that no one on this board really counting on. Camp/Jones deal

1. Pinnock - I like our chances
2. Davis - I don't think he's in with the ford/shibley team (id say UNC)
3. Smith - I always like being the first to offer/really go after (id say PITT)
4. Proctor - VT ...probably comming to say Garbutt come home
5. Garbutt/ one of the other DEs - VT unless we can give him and family reason otherwise / I think we get a suprise kid here bc of numbers
6. Twyman - Narduzzi is personally recruiting this kid (If he can't sell PITT then this kid needs something pitt just can't offer (bigger than football)
7. Kam Carter - Don't see this one working out - Another spot I see an unexpected signee

8. I like our chances with Zayas

Don't sell carter short,he could slide over to end if they needed him to,and if in not mistaken wasn't their talk of Camp maybe playing end at some point this year?we could use a couple DT in this class

1. Pinnock
2. Smith
3.Twyman
4. Garbutt/Proctor---I'm saying they get one of them but not the other.
5. One of the many DEs
6. Hopefully a wild card between AJ Davis, Kam Carter, another DE, or the other half Garbutt/Proctor

Team currently sits at 19 recruits + 66 players so 85. I see Chalingsworth, Poker, D Edwards, Roy, Ibrahim, J Williams, and a DB leaving which opens up 7 spots. 6 more recruits and Foster if he graduates.

WR - Michael Smith
DE - Wilson
DE - Curtis
DT - Twyman
DT - Carter
CB - Johnson/Pinnock whomever commits first. I think they prefer Johnson.

Davis wants to play, and UNC has nothing left at RB, so I see him going there. Garbutt and Proctor...if either wants you make room for them, but I doubt it.

Pitt won't take a DE commit until they hear from garbutt I believe, and with Davis I think it depends on if we hire an OC before NSD

DE brown and DE zayas have committed elsewhere

Zayas was VERY high on Pitt. That tells me that Pitt wouldn't take his commitment because they have strong belief they are getting somebody they rank higher. Man would it be awesome to get Garbutt and flip Proctor and kick VaTech right in the Nadz.

Great Post and well researched and the kind I like to read because it is filled with Great Info that the Pitt Posters in the know can share to learn on the Lair, I have no clue so no comments because just don't know.

I do know the Recruits that Accept Offers and Commits to Pitt Is It, won't regret their CFB or NFL Careers under Coach Pat & Staff won't regret it, and PItt's Football Program will win Championships and Play against anyone and in the NFL someday.

Smart Recruits Choose Pitt Is It!

Dion Lewis, Jabaal Sheard, Tom Savage, just Yesterday, and Alex Van Pelt Coaching Today. Throw in Larry Fitzgerald, Aaron Donald, Shady McCoy, Darrelle Revis, Tyler Boyd, James Conner, Dorian Johnson, Ejuan Price, Quadree Henderson, Jordan Whitehead just to name a few more since 2000 and more to come prove it.

Some Still Must Be Done & So Many Ready To Do it!

Yes, he's shutting down his recruitment.

Also saw we just offered a a new RB, could be a back up plan for AJ Davis

Or RB coach told Davis he wants 5 scholarship backs, with Shibly that's only 4 so it's right on par

Looks like Pinnock will commit this week.
Proctor is probably sticking with VaTech.
Outside shot at Garbutt...we'll see.
