I didn't watch a down of the "Hall of Fame Game" last night, and completely underastand why players hold out til the week before real games start. Having said that, I was flipping thru channels and happened to see Jerry Kramer being interviewed at that game. I did not realize he was elected. I was happy to see he was healthy and looked really well. Between the ages of 10 and 15 from 1968 to 1973 I must have read his book Instant Replay 20 times. It was the only thing that gave my parents any idea that I knew how to read. The Steelers sucked in the 60's so I took the Packers as my team to watch. Everyone loves a winner, unless they beat your team all the time. When the Pack beat the Cowboys in the -13 below game in '67, the next week when the team was watching game film after watching Bart Starr score on the sneak with less than a minute left, Lombardi said something to the effect that by the grace of God the Pack was able to win the game, and a player from the back of the darkened room said "yea, and a hell of a block". Of course that block was thrown by none other than Jerry Kramer. Right guard, Green Bay Packers.
