If you were the AD of, say, UNC or even UVA, and your Head Coach walked intoday and said "For health reasons, I'm retiring at the end of this season, would you even consider reaching out to gauge interest from ANYONE who is listed on our search lists?

If we want to compete with the top schools in the ACC, we need to sign someone with the potential to do that.

Maybe the reaches for young guys is the way to go, rather than the safer guys. Nobody in the more experienced group is likely to be any better than the guy who left. Maybe a young gamble might.

-Louisville would have hired Keatts already. North Carolina and Syracuse, 2 teams that are playing in the Elite 8, have trouble with the NCAA with school violations. Yet they continue to win, and, dont care about school violations because they want championships. I want Pitt to win as long as we are doing things with integrity and not greatly stepping over the line.

I agree with this.

Not only is Will Wade a good coach and recruiter, but I feel we would not drop off next year with him. We would be just as good or better, and then our recruiting will be much better in next year's class. There could be a dropoff if some of these other guys are hired.
