Ffrench ACC special teams player of the week.

Mathis made all ACC defensive team for the week.

Morrissey and Houy made ACC offensive team of the week. They were 2 of the highest graded OL. Not a bad start for Houy. I like his future as an athletic OT.

Ford- everyone’s favorite topic... PN mentioned how he eventually see’s him at S as that is his best position. But said since he has a lot to learn at S playing DB is the quickest way for him to get PT at this time. Believes he will eventually “be a heck of a safety for us”. If you want the link look up the Batko article yourself.

I apologize in advance for talking PITT football and not talking about Nike ;)

You have to play Ford at safety. What’s worse, a Ford who know’s 50% of the defense or a Briggs who knows 100% of the defense?

CB is fine with Mathis, Jackson, Pinnock, Motley and Williams. No need for Ford’s assistance there!

Agreed. Narduzzi has some Jamie Dixon ingrained into him. So much about the x and o crap and doesnt let the guys with talent play first, its all about the playbook. I mean we watched 2 garbage QB's last year (Max Browne was a joke) before Pickett played. And Duzz still hasnt stopped the Hall lovefest because he can block but cant run or do anything else. Im just waiting for the first team to probably torch us in the air badly (Central Florida) before changes are made.

Hopefully safety will be fine with Coleman, Hamlin, Campbell, tallandier.

I can’t disagree with you guys about Ford at S compared to Briggs. Ford may be out of place with some reads but has the physical tools to make up for it at times.

But since Ford to S could be a while off I hope we at least see Campbell & Coleman taking the spot of Briggs. As someone asked in another thread does anyone know if Campbell will be back this week?
